New beginnings

So my boyfriend has broken up with me for certain, wants nothing to do with me or his baby, now i know what's going on in my life i can start getting better. I'm 20 years old, 19w+4d and this is my first. Does anyone have any advice on how to manage as a single mother? I think i have my families support, i'm just pretty scared right now that i'm going to be an awful mother on my own

Thanks ladies, i'm just scared i'll get everything wrong when my baby arrives. The father has threatened to get the baby taken away from me when it's born because i suffer with depression which worried me even more because he doesn't want me to have the baby and he doesn't want it then i dread to think what could happen. Again thank you for the responses and advice, i've got another 20 weeks to prepare so hopefully i can have a better view on everything and not feel so worried

I was a single mom for 4 yrs I did everything on my own. My biggest advice is sleep when baby is sleeping.if you need help with food and whatnot You can apply for WIC they can help you with food and doesn't cost you a thing. It covers baby until he/she is 5. There is always foodstamps thru your local assistance office. Questioning your parenting is normal and means you're doing it right! If you need help do not be afraid to ask I never did and man I regretted it in the worse way. If you're going to breastfeed remember to eat small meals or snack every 2-3 hours and drink plenty of water. If you're going to formula feed I suggest the ready to feed bottles for at night you just have yo put a bottle top with nipple in it. When I had to switch to formula feeding my oldest those saved my life from getting up walking all the way down downstairs with stitches and no help from family. Really just follow your gut the first few weeks are the hardest but it does get easier! And remember you are the mom you do not have to take anyone's advice its what you feel is best for your child you may not think so but you will know what is best. Good luck and remember you are strong and brave!

Your not gonna be a awful mother your gonna be a great mother. Ifs gonna be hard but you can do it there's so many mothers out there including myself and this is my second my daughter is 3 and I done it on my own after her dad had passed away. But they give you the strength and motivation to keep going and do everything you can. Just keep your head up :)
