baby shower

Soo I know that most people do like a baby shower for the mom and then a seperate one for the dad, but has anyone else done it like a graduation party where everyone (like friends, and both sides of the families) were there?
I dont want to have one for just family, one for just friends, and then one for just my boyfriend. I just think that's too many...
plus, any ideas on some fun things to do during it?

We also did not find out sex of baby so we had one before and the others after. My fam is all close so I had that one before. His fam is from all over so we did that after so they could all meet our baby girl.

I had 3 (my side, his side, and friends) I'd rather do small groups. Large groups freak me out! My husband came and was apart of the family showers! I think its important to include the dad in the celebration! He wanted to be included also :)

I haven't had mine yet but i got lucky and the place i rented is right across from the dam which has shelters and grills. So why I'm doing my baby shower hes going to be across the road bbqing and fishing with the guys! That way all of our friends can come and enjoy themselves. After the baby shower we're all gonna meet at the dam to all have a good time!

Well when his sister and brother in law had their baby shower, they did one specifically for the men where they did a poker game and the buy in was a thing of diapers.
but im only wanting one huge baby shower, that everyone would be invited to..

I had mine and my family, his family, & my friends were all at it! I think it's crazy to have so many different there's no point if everyone is kinda in the same area

When i had my baby shower it was friends, family, and co workers. We didnt have a baby shower for my botfriend. You could do a baby shower like that.
