Rights question?!

My baby's dad is denying his son now because of him being with a female. I told him he can just sign over his rights over. So he won't have to deal with nothing. I have proof of everythig he said to me. and how he hope me and the baby die and so much more. How can I go about getting the papers? Do I talk to my social worker about it? Go to court so they can print out papers? Never done this before. So just want it done and over with. I'm not crying so I'm being strong for my baby boy and my daughter. They all I need.

Did you know that if you're 6 months pregnant and beyond that you can start the child support process? Well that's on Texas.

So I have to right it on my own? Or do the court do it?

Stupid guy! Have him sign them rights over because here in IL and I'm sure its the same everywhere else but even if he signs his rights over he is still obligated to financially support. Guys think they can sign their rights over and not have to pay child support WRONG. Just write the.paper up and go to the currency and have it notorized u both will have to be there.

AWWW HECK NAW!!!!! He trippin'... I don't know how things work out in Cali.. But girl.. Relieve him of his duties.  That's what it sounds like he wants anyway.  Call a legal hotline or something and see what type of advice you can get from them as far as what to do and how to go about the situation the right way so that nothing backfires on you.  While you may have proof of some stuff, it may not ALL hold up in court since he most likely was not advised that you'd use what he has said against him...GIRLLLLLLL....mhmm

I live in OK and its the same way here but in my case my husband took on the responsibility of being daddy and he signed the birth certificate and so by law here my husband is his legal father and if the bio wants anything to do with him he would of had to take me to court for paternity testing which I agreed to but he never took me he was also gonna change my sons last name to his being my son has my husbands name and he had until my son was 2 to do that well he didn't do it so my so now my son has the last name that is preferred lol and also the bio has no rights at all nor probably never will and also my sons bio threatened me as well tried running me off the road ect.... so I got a protective order on him and he most deff will not ever get that dropped so my son never will meet his p.o.s sperm Doner !

Honestly if you just don't put him on the birth certificate then there is no documentation that he has any rights. Here in Arizona it's a mother state so if you decide not to put it on there then he doesn't even matter. If later he were to change his mind and wanted to have his rights then he would have to go through the courts and get a paternity test that he is the father (whether you know he's the father or not, the test is mandatory) so if you don't wanna even bother with his nonsense I'd just ignore the guy completely and leave him off the bc. I would look up the actual laws for your state just in case but a majority of states are mother states and you can pretty much do what you feel is best without any questions asked. Good luck. :)
