Scared Pregnancy.

I'm not quite sure where to begin, mainly I am writing this question to see if anyone out there could possibly help me. My name is Katie, I am 18 yrs old and pregnant with my first child. I am only in my first trimester. I am worried about a few things, I seem to not have much morning sickness. Although with that being said I do have quite a bit of dizziness. My breast appear to be larger and darker in color, they are also still semi sore. My main question and the whole reason for me writing today is to ask a specific question.

I felt the urge to use the rest room sorry if this is TMI anyhow, I waited for a little bit because I was doing some online test that couldn't pause and had a specific time frame. Anyhow, upon using the rest room I noticed when I first begun to release my bladder so to speak there was a burst of white ish discharge then usual colored urine? I am very worried and confused as to what this could be. I was laying down sleeping for a little while before using the rest room. Does anyone know what this might be? Should I be worried? Should I wait till I use the rest room again to see if I have this occurrence again?

Any answers or suggestions might be helpful, thank-you.
Katie

I didnt get  morning sickness until week 8 or 9, so dont worry about it, your body knows exactly what it is doing, being pregnant is a natural course of life all you have to do is give your body the nutrients it needs to help make the baby!!!

Seems like everything is going right on target!  I never had morning sickness in my first trimester, and none so far in my second trimester, you could be one of the lucky ones like me that never had morning sickness but also apparently the nausea kicks in when you are around 6-12 weeks.
Anyway, the description of your breasts is normal.  The discharge is called Lukorhea (or something like that) and basically your discharge increases to protect your vagina from harmful bacteria, so its normal.  To me it looks more like milk, absolutely white and very very liquid but everyone is different.

My only warning and this is a very high warning is DON'T STRESS, stress causes horrible side effects on your  body and it deffinitely doesn't help the baby.  Relax, your body knows what its doing, and you will know one way or another if things are ok.  Expect your body to change dramatically and love it because its a pretty cool feeling being pregnant.  Don't over exercise, just do maybe 30mins to 45mins a day to keep up the routine but don't overdo it, believe me you'll start hurting soon.

Take care

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well. I am doing alright myself. I went in for my first appointment yesterday. When I got to the doctors office I was nervous. After being there for a little bit, they did an ultrasound. First you didn't see anything. I was getting really upset when they said and here is your uterus and there was this little oval/peanut shaped baby. You could see the screen blinking then almost instantly you heard the heart beating. It was probably one of the most amazing magical occurrences I had ever gone through.

The baby is around 6wks and a few days, give or take 3-4. Of course we don't know the sex yet. The heartbeat was 117 (some say boys have a lower heartbeat) Anyhow, the baby was about 6.9 to 7.2 hadlock. (Does anyone know what hadlock means?)

Well Joy I hope your appointment has gone well or will!

Thanks everyone who helped me out when I was confused!

<3 Katie

Oh and I just thought of one other thing, there is NO burning or itching or anything. So I don't think it's a infection.

Something new that occurred was my heartbeat is real irregular and I am sweating a lot. I don't really know what that could be from.

Anyhow, sorry to bother everyone with all my concerns.

Hello,
Sorry I took a nap for a little while. Anyhow, according to doctors and what I could tell them about the my last period was around the 26t. ( I was in the process of moving back to my moms house so I had many different activities going on.) Anyhow, We were thinking that this appointment on the 11th the baby should be about 5 or so weeks.

I know I am really early, and Joy I was just really excited about being pregnant so I told just about everyone. I know I really shouldn't have, though it was like a huge life changing event and I am sure you are familiar with "Myspace". Well most of my friends found out from there, because my whole page was done in pregnancy, birth and baby things.

I kinda took some down after today, I got really discouraged my doctor said there was nothing he could really do on the phone and I would just have to wait till my 11th appointment.

Anyhow, thank-you all for all of the suggestions and help that you have provided. I guess now it's just my time to wait and see what happens.

I have a few cramps in my tummy yet they aren't so severe. I had one day about a week ago of a back pain for a moment and a shoulder pain for about 10 minutes if that. I sometimes tend to over exercise so I might have just pulled a muscle. I am trying to cut back on working out so much, I also know I need to quit stressing so much cause that DEFINITELY isn't helping the baby.

Well I guess I have to just keep praying for safe results on March 11th. Oh and Joy, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR APPOINTMENT~ <3

Hi Katie.

Every pregnancy is different, the fact that you are not sick is a blessing, trust me! It does not mean there is anything wrong with you or the baby, you are just fortunate enough not to have to deal with it. IT is very normal for your breasts to be tender and the areola to darken in color, this is so your newborn baby can see it easier after birth before his or her eyesight imporves. (remember, babies can only see shadows and dark vs light at first) The dizzyness is also completly normal, although if you have a spell that lasts for an hour or more, you should see your provider.

As far as the urine color, and the discharge, I also think those are normal, as both will change with pregnancy. Remember to drink plenty of water and try not to stress over this unless you have burning with urination, then that might indicate infection.

Most people wait until they are 12 weeks to tell family because the risk of miscarriage goes down significantly. But I would tell someone you trust so you have support.

My first appointment is on Thursday, the day after yours!

Do you know how many weeks you are?  Don't worry about not having morning sickness.  You are just lucky!  I never had a bit of sickness and I am pregnant with my 4th child. = )

Lots of strange things happen when you are pregnant.  Don't be afraid to ask your Dr.  *anything*-- believe me, they have heard it all!!

Good luck!

I'm not quite sure how to respond to someone, I guess I just post a comment. Thank-you so much for all of your answers Mama, Joy and Gina I appreciate them so much. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday the 11th. I know it's not but a few days away, I have just been waiting 2 weeks to see the doctor so it feels like forever. I am already at a high risk of a miscarriage because of the Eating Disorder (Bulimia and Anorexia) I had for 6 years.(Please don't judge me I went through a rape and assault when I was very young and my way of dealing with depression was through my eating disorders.)
Doctors had always told me I couldn't even become pregnant because of ovarian tumors yet here I am. I was so skeptical that I have taken like 20 pregnancy home test then had a blood test done at the doctors. It seems I am pregnant I am just so worried about loosing my baby. The father doesn't much care one way or the other he a long time love that never really did love me.

Anyhow, I just don't wanna loose my baby. I was so ready to have a child. I had already started planning and just about everyone knows, I wouldn't even begin to tell my friends and family if something Devastating occurred.

I guess for now there is nothing I can really do, I just can only pray.

Though once again thank-you for taking the time to listen to my questions and concerns.

I have had crazy discharge since I became pregnant. As long as it's not green I wouldn't worry about it.Not everyone has morning sickness so don't worry about that.Your one of the lucky ones.I am almost 20 weeks and I still get dizzy!

Cervical discharge is normal during pregnancy. You will have a lot of it and it resembles clear snot. Some women need to wear thin panty-liners throughout their pregnancy because of the discharge.

I'm glad you found our forum and I hope you stick around and meet many fantastic women!

umm, Well, the whitish discharge could have been just Cm which increases in pregnancy, the Off color in your urine could be because of your prenat. pills you are taking. If you are worry make sure you tell your Ob.

Not to have MS is so normal! The soreness in the bbs is normal and they will keep on getting larger and the darkness is normal as well....
