Severe hip pain

It's getting to where I can't sleep at night because the pain is so high I have to get out of bed. I'm 26 weeks, what can I do to help the pain?

Can't afford a chiropractor right now, buying a house, I'll try the hip exercisers thing though!

17 weeks and I've just started having the hip discomfort in bed. Last night I tossed from hip to hip thinking it was just the bed. Now I realize that it's pregnancy related and potentially only going to get worse.

Try the pelvic rock or bounce on an exercise ball before bed. It helps a lot. I have the same problem and thats what my doctor suggested

But make sure they have worked with pregnant women before.  I saw a chiropractor once that had never heard of round ligament pain.

Have any of you been to the chiropractor??  I had severe hip pain with my last pregnancy and my chiropractor helped a lot.  They can also relieve round ligament pain.  Very, very worth a try.

Oh my i just noticed it put fast when i told it flat lol. I hope you get reliefe! I have some icy hot patches set aside right now for when it its sever. I already had to use them once 2 months ago. A nerve pinched in my hip. Those are ok o use after 12 weeks. Anywhere on your back and hips. I talked to my doctor and called ask a nurse to make sure lol.

I find walking around helps a lot. Or get a heating pad or ice pack and place them in your hips. Should help relieve pain. My last month with my son i slept in a recliner so i wasn't fast on my back but i didn't have to sleep on my sides. That helped relieve a kt of pressure from my hips when thy started spreading.

I can barely move sometimes, I have a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and I think it may be making it harder than normal pregnancies, but I have no way to compare. I'm going to talk to my doctor today at my appointment but it feels like he just wants to throw pills at any problem I have. Risky pills at that.

37.4 wks here and I've ask my doc cause I've been having hip pain for months now and all he told me was to take Tylenol before bed and try stretching before bed also I do hip ups and downs! Use a body pillow and tried prenatal massage!  Nothing has helped and it's just getting worse!

I'm in the same boat....my hips hurt so bad, I sleep with my body pillow and sometimes I'll roll over to snuggle with my boyfriend and throw a leg over his and they still kill me even with the body pillow. I take Tylenol but thay hasn't helped either..I'm thinking it's time to tell the doctor how bad it hurts but I have a feeling she'll tell me it's just normal pregnancy pain...

I'm in the same boat. I'm almost 34 weeks. I find a nice warm bath helps. It's hurts but they say it's normal aches and pains that comes with being pregnant. I didn't have hip pain with my first but I'm working during this pregnancy so I'm constantly bending, squatting, walking all day long. You can take Tylenol I would but my anxiety is on overdrive even though my midwife says it's ok my anxiety says otherwise but that's another story for another day....

I don't have a body pillow, but I use a couple pillows between my legs at night.
