I'm also 38 weeks and 4 days and I was having contractions last night, about 30 minutes or more apart. I was told by my doctor that if you get more than 4 an hour, or if they grow in how intense they are, or if they don't away when you change what you are doing, then go to the hospital and get checked out. Good luck :) And like the other posters said, be sure to stay hydrated!!

Oh I forgot drink lots of water to make sure not hydrated. dehydration can cause you to have bad contractions.

I agree with the post before. You can also try a warm shower see if it takes the pain away if it doesn't work than head to er.

my suggestion is go get checked out, you could be having labor pains. i do belive labor pain is between 5-10 minutes apart too and pressure also. maybe to be on the safe side yes go to the hospital=). good luck hun, this could be it!!
