No, they didnt give me any pictures! =(
Im sure everythingh is ok...Cool, you;ll get to see him again soon!
Did you get pictures Laura?
Hindsight is always 20/20...if he shrugged it off then it is probably no big deal...try not to stress and at least you will get another ultrasound!
Not really. He just kindof shrugged it off..
I should have asked more questions...
Sounds great...everything, the ex, the ultrasound! I don't know about the fluid but try to relax...did they give any explanation?
Thanks!
And me too.. Hopefully we can build a friendship from here and do this the best we can AND get along!
Perhaps his parents visiting and all of you being together and talking about the baby kind of opened him up a little more. I'm very happy to hear he's being more of an adult about it all!! I do hope you both can work on a friendship so that when yer little guy comes along both his mom and dad will be there for him and not be ripping each others' heads off! =D
Dont worry about the fluid...im sure everything will be fine. At least you will get to see your little guy again.
WOW im shocked...he went and he picked you up. Glad things look like they are working out. Yeah maybe you guys can be friends and have a healthy relationship for the baby.
**and he said he was glad he came as well..
Sorry, I cant type.
He DID go.. He even picked me up at work.. Holy kudos... Maybe he does have a heart?!
Seriously though, I was glad he came and he said is glad is he came as well.. Maybe he and I can work on being friends.. =)
Well, at least you have the answer to your question about getting another u/s done! I'm sorry it's because of a concern about fluid near yer little guy's kidneys tho!! I'm sure he's fine tho!
He's a growing little guy!! So glad he's doing well!!
((And to ask Mumita's question again ...did the ex finally come around and go with you to this u/s? Maybe his 'rents being there affected him positively?))
Oh don't get concerned (I know this is impossible) unless they tell you to be concerned. He will be fine. did your ex go?
Hi,
They said he has a little fluid around his kidneys, but they arent too concerned. They want me to come back in 1 month for another ultrasound b/c they also couldnt see his face. He wasnt being cooperative.. He is breech as well, but they are confident he will turn eventually.. He has been breech the whole time thus far. They estimate his weight at 1 lb. 9 oz. currently. I am 23 weeks.
I AM concerned about the fluid on the kidneys.. Anyone else have this happen?
Thanks!
Laura
Yes, I'm dying to know too!! I just looked at my clock and it's 12:40 (cst), so you're actually still probably in your appointment now (you're est, I figured, since you mentioned you're on an island off the coast near Boston). DR's appointments usually take an hour or so.
Can't wait for your update!! Yay!!!
You will probably get one before delivery. I thought my last one was going to be my 18 week one and I remember feeling the same way as you. My doctor told me there wouldn't be any more unless a concern came up, But, we ended up having one at 27 weeks because I didn't feel him moving for a few hours and totally freaked out (turned out he was totally fine, just doing a lot of "twirling" and not very much kicking that particular day).. then another at 36 weeks because my doctor thought he was still breech (but he finally turned, thank goodness). And I will be having another next week because I'll be past my due date.... So, sometimes things come up that require an ultrasound but really it just means all is well if you're not having them frequently. You'll still get to hear his heartbeat at each appointment with the doppler (I suggest bringing a tape recorder to one of your appointments to tape it - we did that and still love to listen to it!).... Frame your favorite ultrasound pic and keep it where you can always see it. In several months you'll see him face to face, and nothing beats that! :) Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and best wishes!
Wow last one at 22 weeks, I didn't know that?!
I'm sure your doctor might let you have one more peek at yer little guy before you delivery. Although, if your insurance only covers so many ultrasounds, additional ones might have to be paid for out of pocket.
The only 'advice' I have is that you've gotten to see your little guy on the ultrasound! It's better than not having seen him at all!! And just think ...in 4 months you'll get to be looking at him face-to-face instead of on a blurry screen!! =D
Keep us posted on how the u/s goes today!! And if you get more pics, I hope to see 'em!! =D
