Thanks for the good advise girls. I think I need to try the squats then. I have been walking more than I could bear for the last 1 month, running around in malls buying EVERY single thing for the new apartment when I separated. Right from spoons, dishes, all electronics stuff around the house, curtains, furniture, rugs.... you name it. And driving all day as well. I spent a fortune on the household stuff and a lot of time and energy.
Coffeebuzzed and chapina: I will try the squats as well, my aunt had suggested squatting and scrubbing the floors lol but I did not try that yet, it seems too aggressive !!
Ashelen: I wish I could swim, but the swimming pool in my area is JAM-packed with kids (summer vacations) and my mother does not want me getting into it and risking infections.
Joy: My baby seems to be the same. I ve walked miles and baby is still happily sitting high.
I just went for a post-dinner walk and came back. I will start the squats tomorrow onwards. Hope the baby does not make me wait for too long. Will keep everyone posted!
My last daughter didn't come down until I was in labor! I did all sorts of things and she didn't want to budge.
Hi there, I was told to do some squats and walk as well. As soon as February hit (I was due on the 26 of feb) I was walking mornings and evenings (just for like 20 mins) and dancing a lot too (that's how I incorporating my squats lol). The day I went into labor I had just finished doing my squats for the day, and hour later my water broke. Went to the hospital and the baby was ready to come out I just wasn't dialated enough yet :/
Hey girl I've been thinking about you - in a way I'm sorry about the divorce but at the same time I'm relieved for you...I think you'll be in a good place.
I would say like coffee said...walk, swim if you can, because in my experience that helps to stretch the hips/pelvis out some...and if you can go buy an exercise/yoga ball and find somewhere sturdy to hold on (a bed frame, something like that) you can gently bounce on the ball with your feet spread to help balance...it helps to stretch the pelvis as well.
I would advise walking and even doing gentle squats. The idea of getting baby to drop but realizing you are 38 weeks pregnant so you dont want to do anything super uncomfortable, make yourself too hot....etc....I walked A LOT in my last two weeks of pregnancy and I think it really helped. Again, they were not fast, or super long, just leasurly, but the point was I was moving!! Good luck!!
