University & a baby!

So I start school in October. I am 6 weeks & 4 days pregnant today. Do any other expected mothers plan to attend school while pregnant or have already done so? I'll be 8 hours away from home and family (which I'm not looking forward to).

I'm only 2.5 hours from my family, which sometimes seems really far bc I'm doing this all on my own. Will you have a support system near you where you're going? You might want to consider transferring to somewhere closer, just in case any thing were to happen

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and i start college on august 15. I'm doing 7 classes online and now that I'm pregnant i think that's a bit much but i have to take that many to receive financial aid. I'm going to do everything possible to do it. I have a part time job and a 4 year old and a 5 year old plus the demands of my household. Good luck to you and pray for me. Lol :)

A 3 month maternity leave? Thats generous. I don't think my school offers that but i'll ask. Good luck to you!

Wow! That's amazing- you go girl! But no one is saying if they took breaks or not to have their baby and how they transitioned back to school. How did you do it?

Hi. Well I'm 25 weeks pregnant. And I'm staring a Univercity this September. Pretty excited. I'm living with my bf grandma now. so she will help me to take care of my baby while I'm at school. I hope i will survive studies full day time. If not. That it will be kind of sad. Because studies cost around 2k dollars semester. Don't want to get money wasted.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have been in college the entire time. I only have 3 more classes to get my AA so I'm just taking the 3 classes in "A-term" of the fall, which is half the semester. So my classes will be from aug-oct then I'll be finished and I'll have my baby in dec. many school offer "A or B" term classes, this could get your classes done quicker and also allow you to take classes right up until before you're due. Good luck!

Yeah, I figured I would have to take a quarter off. I have orientation the end of August so I am going to ask a bunch of questions about what I can do to finish some what on time.

What I plan on doing Is she will come late October which midterms are usually mid October so I'm just going to even ask professors if it's possible to take them early if I have to. Usually professors understand if you just talk to them about the situation. As for finals, she will already be about two months when I take them and I'm sure I'll be able to do that :) with her father watching her. I don't work at all, my bf works so not really a work load :p I got lucky.

I was in school from the beginning to 35wks. My entire first trimester I worked two part time jobs, and was full time. My second and third trimester I worked one part time job and took 17hrs. It was very difficult, but if you take care of yourself it's doable. Make sure to have some good protein filled snacks on you, and a nice big water bottle. Go to bed early and get your rest. Good luck!

I am 15 weeks 4 days and I start my last semester in august and finish a month before my duty date. It's four full days a week so it will be tiring but managable. You can do it!

Best of luck AdventureTime, and good for you for being so dedicated! Right now I'm 34 weeks, going to school full time, and working a part time job. I'm not going to lie, it's not easy, but if you take care of yourself (get enough sleep, eat well, let your teachers know what's going on) you'll do perfectly fine! I took classes and worked two jobs last semester while I was in my first and second trimester, and I ended up with a 4.0. So who knows! Your pregnancy could be your motivation to do well!
