Thats another reason why we aren't changing Conner's name, our other boys already know him as baby brother Conner. I think we would be confusing them if we changed his name. Although my 4 yr old still thinks we are having a girl lol. He said mommy and daddy need to give him a baby sister....im not going for that, im all done having my babies lol
My hubby has said a few times that he wanted to change Olivia's name, and the names he had come up with I did like but I just couldn't do it. She was named Olivia Hope before we even knew she was a girl. I just love the name and don't think I could ever change it. Plus my boys would have a fit. They already call her by Olivia and my 3 year old gets mad when someone just calls her "the baby" he says " No, her name is baby Olivia" so I think he would set my hubby straight if he even tried to change her name.
lol, Yeah the name has grown on us more than we thought. I love very unusual names, even if they sound fake lol. But Conner has def. grew on us. It's hard to change a name after getting to know the individual personality of your baby before he/she is born. You get attached to them as a person and not just something growing inside you lol.
So Conner McKinley is staying.....DH's dad even said we weren't allowed to change his name lol. The whole family is attached to him as Conner an individual human being, not just a moving mass in my belly lol
I like Connor as well...I have to agree with JAXX Chasin...is kinda fake sounding...but maybe its just that I don't really like the name. I have always loved the name Connor...I wanted to name my baby that whenever we had a boy but then Steven's dad got married and his new step brother's name was Connor...kind of ruined it for me. So I was trying to find some names that were like it and I really like the name Conlan. But it also sounds kind of weird so that probably won't make it to a birth certificate either lol...
I like Conner better but if you're gonna change it i think CHASE McKinley sounds better than Chasen. JMO!
I like them both but think it is too late to make the switch! I am glad to hear you are sticking w. Conner! =)
I prefer Conner to Chasen anyways.
His name will remain Conner lol. I tried adding Chasen in as a middle name, but Mckinley is a family name on Hubby's side, so that wasn't going to change, plus it didn't sound right lol.
Conner Chasen-McKinley Sizemore...NAH!
After saying it over and over...hubby and I both decided that Conner is a much better name. Hubby tried calling him Chasen a few times, and he said it was like talking to a complete stranger lol, so he decided that Conner should stay as well.
Well we didn't name our girls until they were born. Elaina was originally Madison but there's SOOOOOOOOOO many Madisons out there that I changed my mind. And Abigail was going to be Evangeline (like the actress on Lost) but everyone kept making fun of her name and I got sick of it and changed it.
Both of my girls' names fit them PERFECTLY and I don't regret changing their name. Sounds like you're attached to Connor, so leave it!
both names seem great but I like you could not imagine changing my babies name at this point....I even think she knows her name...everytime someone says it she kicks. Do what you think is best but I understand where you are coming from. When you see his sweet face you will know for sure.... :)
I agree with amy0013 what about adding it as a middle name! I love the name Connor and I know how it feels to be bonded like that I could not imagine! Of course and no one has said this yet its your baby do what you want, but I am a big fan of different names! Let us know what you decide!
I don't mean to be rude but Chasen sounds VERY made up and corny. Sorry. Stick with Connor - MUCH better! ;)
What about Conner Chasen or Chasen Connor?
Honestly...not a big fan of the name change...I think it is too unusual...just my opinion ;)
Im thinking of keeping his name Conner....He has been Conner since we found out the sex. I have really bonded with him as Conner, and we have been verbally calling him that when we talk to him. All my friends and family also know him as Conner, so I think a name change would be way to much shock on people lol.
I love the name hubby came up with, and yes it is pronounced Chasin, like *lets go chasin cars*. But I don't know.....I like my baby Conner...as Conner lol
I like the name it is different. I am having the same problem just reversed I am thinking of name swapping and DH is not happy, we chose our names 4-ever ago b4 we were PG. But now that it is so real, I am wanting to change the girl name we picked! from Addyson, to Addalynn! not sure of spelling yet, BUT we have not bonded to the name yet and we don't even know if its a boy or girl, you have to do what you are comfy with either way they are both lovely names for a handsom little guy!
Is it pronounced like Chasin, just so I know how to say it right!?
Well, I like both. I've never heard the name Chasen before, so I assume it's not common which is good in my opinion.
And Conner is a very good name. Not too common, but it's awesome.
Either way you can't go wrong!
we all know him a conner! i think he should stay conner even though the other name is nice he is still conner!
