My 7 month old baby BOY is being mistaken a lot for a GIRL lately (3 times in the last 2 weeks).  He's still pretty much a baldy and has beautiful long eyelashes like his daddy and his big brother (I'm telling you, I'd LOVE to have these eyelashes!), plus he's got pretty delicate features - those things contribute to people mistaking him for a girl, I think.  I dress him in "gender appropriate" clothing, though....often even a baseball cap (which, at least to me, is more "boyish").

Take a look at the picture and let me know if you think you'd mistake him for a boy if you didn't know his gender.....It doesn't really bother me, although it's a bit annoying because I feel bad for having to correct people, lol - I'm just curious to see what the consensus here is...

aww he's definitely cute and those eye lashes are to die for but especially in boys clothes i wouldn't mistake him for a boy.

I agree with everyone else, with those eyelashes and smile you're going to be beating off the girls by the time he's in jr high lol!

Thank you for saying how adorable Gil is....it means a lot to me, especially because I'm not exactly forthcoming with the photos, hehe!

Gil's got my husband's olive complexion and the dark eyes (he's Portuguese).....everyone says that G looks more like him, whereas our other son, Daniel, is pale complexioned (also with the dark eyes, though) and looks much more like me, even in his features.

And to think I was worried about having a girl and having to keep the boys away......the way things are going, I'll still have to worry about the girls - but keeping them away from my son - well, until a "suitable" age....like, say, 45......LOL

Forgive me for being rude but some people are just d . u. m .b.....I had my daughter dressed head to toe in pink 1 day and had someone ask if she was a boy.She even had a headband on!!

Now as for your question...in the picture...being as he is dressed in a blue "boy" outfit I would definaetly say boy HOWEVER with his eyelashes and that heartmelting smile if he were wearing something a little more gender nuetral I can see where it would be hard to tell.  

You better lock him up becuase the girls are gonna be knocking down your door.

Omg Jen....he is SO adorable! i see what u mean now...they kinda do look alike...just different coloring. We both have little boys with delicate features...they look like little angels But our BOYS do NOT look like Girls!!! he is so so so so cute...u must be incredibly proud!  i thought his first picture u shared was cute but it didnt even show half of how adorable he actually is! oh my goodness...ur gonna have to beat off the girls with a stick! especially if u have TWO this cute!! i agree with everyone else...people are dumb! I havent heard one person call my SON a boy since he was born LOL....everybody says my daughter is beautiful...nobody gets it right and i dress him in blue and green and trucks and bugs...i dont get it!

he's VERY beautiful....but he's clearly a beautiful BOY!

Kahlan's always had a full head of hair and long eyelashes so it was never a guessing game with her for anyone...but Grey's got the same full head of hair and long eyelashes and it's about 50/50 right now....half of the people say I have a handsome son, half say "your daughter has the most amazing blue eyes"....so...(Grey looks like a boy to me so I don't really see how this works...but then, Gil looks like a boy to me too...people really are stupid lol).

don't let it bug you. having a pretty boy will only mean that he'll grow up to be a gorgeous man and be a heart-stealer :).

My brother looked like a girl till he got older just laugh n correct them, they wil feel dumb , he sounds gorgeous.

Looks like a boy to me.    People are stupid.  When my daughter was a baby she was bald.  I would dress her in pink frilly outfits and people would ask me how old my little boy was.    Seriously would you dress a boy in pink dresses?

People often say the dumbest things. I would not worry too much about it. Those who matter know that he is a boy. I too would dress my girl in gender appropriate attire and earrings and she would still get mistaken for a boy. Again, just ignore it because they are the ones who look foolish in the end

Awww!!! He's too cute! I wouldn't take him for a boy. Especially if he's in boy clothes!
