I quit my job today. I'm 34 weeks. I'm on my feet 9 hours straight and often find myself feeling like i'm gonna pass out.  I have asked my manager numerous times to schedule me for shorter shifts and she will not. They only allow me to be out for 6 weeks. I'm sick of it. I just walked out today. My bf is pissed because I make 80% of our income. With what I have save and his income we have enough to make it until about 4 weeks after the baby is born. Is it so much to ask that he supports me in this? He has no idea how hard it is for me at work. I plan on looking for another job after the baby is here. I just need some rest.

i did the same thing (kinda) lol but if your not working, and if you feel comfortable with it, you can apply for food stamps and such to help you save extra money for the baby. i went to the foodshelf the other day with my sister in law for the first time, and they also gave me vouchers for the local thrift store which I'm hopeing will carry maternity clothes. theres alot of awesome preograms out there for pregnant women. i started babysitting a few nights a week to help my fiance out with bills. you'll be okay!

I don't blame you one bit. The fact you got money saved is very good. I couldn't imagine such big shifts at 34 weeks. I'm 22 weeks and cant go more then 5 hrs ar my job. Good luck finding something else. Im sure after your boyfriend calms down he will understand.

it's not to much to ask for at all especially if you have money set aside... I was so sick my first 18 weeks preggo that I was missing work and my manager wouldn't do anything to help out  not shorter shifts or moving me away from the break room so that I didn't feel like puking. I just kept calling in til the fired me at 19 weeks and I have felt so much better I am not stressed ( I was borderline high risk from the stress ) my back doesn't hurt , my feet don't hurt. I have unemployment til 4 weeks after the baby is born which in August and I was making 100% of my and my husband's income. Pregnancy is hard on our bodies and we need the rest. I think your BF should be supportive of you .
BTW I am 33 week so I completely understand how your body is feeling
