breastfeeding is nasty??

Not judging, just saying. I was talking to my cousin, (I'm 23, she is 28). And I was reeking her that I breastfed my son and I plan to do the same for my daughter. She was like really?? That is so nasty to me. Especially for girls.....??? I was like well it's a natural part of life and it was the only way to feed a newborn for the longest. She was like she would pump if it didn't take so long but she will never latch her baby on her breast because it feels nasty.
Here is my take. This world makes everything so nasty and tabboo. When actually some things are as normal as a plant growing into a tree. I feel like the women and men who find breastfeeding disgusting are so used to a woman's body being overly sexualized by society. Women get plastered all over TV with boob and booty showing, but you rarely see a guy showing some balls or penis. To me, this world is slowly crumbling.
In no way am I bashing anyone who chooses not to breastfed, I'm just appalled by the things we register as  nasty. Anything could happen at any time. And if formula was somehow tainted and could not be used for months until they figured out what was happening to it, some mothers would have NO way to feed their baby because their milk would be gone...when we are equipped to be able to feed baby at the drop of a dime.

Breast milk may be beat for the baby, but there is nothing wrong with formula either. Keep in mind there are nutrients you get in formula that you don't get from breast milk. I plan to breast feed my baby but its not always possible for every mom to do so, especially since we now live in a society where many women work and that makes breastfeeding difficult. I understand they can always pump but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Everyone is entitled to their own choices, if a woman doesn't want to breast feed that's fine, if they do that's great. But again to each their own.

I completely agree with you! I think it's completely natural and a wonderful thing.. My thought back in the day when formula wasn't around what did they do back then? But to each there own! I understand if you can't because of medical reason.. But just cause you think it's nasty it's the best thing for the baby! I'm going to try my hardest to breastfeed but if I can't I have a breast pump and will at least pump and bottle fed that way!

Omg. Breastfeeding is completely natural & the best thing for Your baby. Formulas are made in an effort to mimic breastmilk. Breastfeeding itself is not nasty that's a fact not an opinion. Before there were bottles,  their were boobs. I don't care what anybody opinion is about breastfeeding really. I've breastfed all of mine & plan to do the same with ny third. Perverts make it weird or seem nasty.
