calming the baby..

Im 35 weeks and at my last appointment the baby had a tachycardia. Im now scared of the times he gets very active because that is when it would happen. Im just wondering if anyone has any ideas so i can calm him down when he gets active and scary. I noticed that rubbing my belly and talking to him calms him at times but not always.

I also have issues involving tachycardias and that is why this is so scary to me. Those do not feel good so i cannot blame him for flailing around.

Tachycardia? Its a very fast heartbeat, essentially. Ive had on my whole life that, acts up and had 2 procedures done to help it (both failed) it leads to me fainting, being dizzy, having palpitations, etc. and i dont want that for baby.

It is said that babies are comforted by the sound of their mothers voices so I would think talking to your belly could help. Maybe try humming also. Humming has a relaxing effect on our brains so hearing you and sensing your calmness may help him out.

He didnt seem happy about it but he never actually seems concerned about anything. So im not sure. He kept making faces though like something wasn't right, but has decided anything can wait til the next routine appointment.

And yeah, rubbing my belky and softly talkibg to him or playing calm music has been helping.
