I know that Oregon is a "at will" state meaning any employer can let you go without any reason. And they don't have to tell you why they let you go.
I was a bartender when I found out I was pregnant. Told my boss, two weeks later I was let go for no reason.
Thanks to you all for the advice :)
Liked others said, you cant be fired for being pregnant, but they could fire you for showing late, leaving early, etc. Unless you have restrictions, which I would get noted by the doc to give to your boss they can't fire you for those reasons. As for the gallons of water most of those dont weigh over 10 lbs. Unless it's a box of more than one gallon. A pack of water, or a big bag of dog food will probably go over your restrictions.
It depends on the state you live in. For example in Nevada , it's a right to work state which means they could fire me for being pregnent or for wearing red shoes...
They can't fire you for being pregnant because that is discrimination but if you are unable to do your job they may reassign you to a different position somewhere else in the company
Look it up in your state! In canada they cannot let you go or cut back your hrs or discriminate against you for being pregnant
I think it is actually illegal for them to fire you due to being pregnant but I'm not overly sure about it.
