How early can you start putting some cereal in bottles? I have a 5 week old and she will sleep for 2 or 2.5 hours. My dad told me cereal might help.

I dont think its good to put it now my mom said the same thing itll help her sleep and would do it behind my back after i said no it upset her stomach and i didnt like that so she stopped for good and with my daughter we layed her on her stomach she slept just fine but a baby shouldn't sleep the whole night waking up every two hrs or two and a half is good cause they need diaper change and need to be fed my daughter slept so good when i layed her on her stomach she got a diaper rash cause i was sleep and didn't know so this time im goin to lay my child on their stomach but set alarm for every two hrs or two and a half hrs so you can see if that helps i didn't start giving my first child cereal til she was like 5-6 month and it was in a bowl with water and one scoop of formula and a spoon she loved it

It's not recommended to put cereal in bottles at all anymore, but most doctors say it's okay to start spoon feeding at 4-5 months. Have you tried swaddling? Or a white noise machine?

You should never put cereal in a bottle, cause for choking. But some pediatricians say 4 months. Honestly the cereal is empty calories. But its your decision. We started with oatmeal at 4 months
