Calcium or anything if prenatal vitamins wernt needed for u to take doctor wouldnt prescribe them to pregnant women :)
They help prevent brain and spinal cord defects, the iron in them helps carry oxygen to the baby and the DHA in them supports eye and brain development. But, as long as you get regular blood tests from your doctor and they say all your levels fine then I suppose it really is up to you. Just to let you know there are cheap ones that work just as well as the expensive one and they have them in gummy form if you dont like taking pills. They taste like candy. Keep up a really healthy diet, prenatals give you what your diet is missing so without them I would be eating super healthy.
I recommend taking them yes your baby may come out healthy without u taking them but remember this EVERY woman's body is NOT the same& EVERY baby is NOT the same so just because the next person said they didnt take them & they baby was perfectly fine doesnt mean 100% your baby will be ,every baby is made up differently for example your baby may need extra intake of calc
i havent taken them with any of my pregnancy, both my children ar fine.
Its important think about your babies eye sight, hearing, brain development, all of this is extremely important plus whatever you eat your baby takes what tgey need and your not left with much so if you dont take them you will be tired more than normal and you can get anemic. If your anemic at delivery and bleed too much you may need a blood transfusion. These are just some examples to think about
As long as you have a healthy diet then you don't really need to take them I never took them as they made md really ill im 33w6d and my baby is fine and perfectly healthy
Agree.. although some will say they didnt take them and thier babys fine. But they tell u to take them for a reason.
It's better for your baby if you do. Cheap any prenatals will do.
