My babies terrible name!

Do you think conrad is a terrible boys name. My husband and I love it but everyone else seems to hate the name. I hate to say it but my mother keeps nagging me about it,and its causing me to have severe anxiety. I have hit a point where I am constantly wondering if I should name our child Conrad. I'm worried that when he gets,older he will some what resent us for it! Honest opinions are more than welcome! Please help!

First of all, tell your mother she needs to back the eff off! It's YOUR baby, not hers! She had her chance to name, now its your turn! And if she can't even be respectful of your name choices, I doubt she will respect much else on how you parent. Tell her to back off, or her time with baby will be extremely limited.

My dad's name is Conrad Joseph.  My older brother's name is Conrad Jason.  My brother always went by his middle name, until his 30's. My dad has always gone by his first name and as a child was called Connie by an aunt of his. It's a strong name, not super common, and if you and your hubby like it, go with it!

Personally I think Conrad is an ok name. I don't see what's not to like about it. :)

Try yelling it as if he's in trouble to test it out. Add the middle name in it. You want to be taken serious in those situations ;)

Not at all. Your the one going to be using it the most so if you like it then fine. If he hates it when he's older he can always change it himself

I think Conrad is a fine name :-).  When I was growing up there was a guy named Conrad who owned a diner... The diner had a proper name but we all just called it Conrad's lol

If you and your husband like it, then it doesn't matter what other people think. My fiance and I are naming our little boy Axle Cole. All my family hates it, but they'll just have to get used to it.
