Early labour is when you are in early labour before 34weeks pregnant I went into early labour at 23weeks 2011 I went into labour because i had group b strep and that was with my first and my other daughter in November 2013 at 21weeks and 6days and I had group b strep again with her that did effect my pregnancy and I'm high risk because of it and loosing 3 babys and its more likely gonna happen again and I had people tell me group b strep doesn't effect pregnancys but it does it only effects certain women while pregnant. Theirs so many people that haven't even heard this or even doctors but some do no its affects some pregnancys but if this is your first they won't check until 30 something weeks just make shore you search bout it but they haven'tdone studies on it properly but I no that it does and its happened to my mom and others good luck

Ok, if you are more than 37 weeks, you are not in early or pre term labor. 37 weeks is considered full term.

I've been in early labor for 2 weeks, I'm not dialated enough for active labor (a 4 I believe is when they consider it active) and you get constant contractions that just suddenly stop, I'm 41 weeks btw. Last night I had terrible contractions for about 6 hours and I was trying to wait for them to get a little closer together before going in, and they suddenly stopped. It *****.

I was extremely ill with preeclamplsia and my body was giving out. I woke up at 34wks and felt awful and had cramping. The cramping became consistent regular pain so I called my ob and he met me at the hospital. They put a monitor on and confirmed they were contractions. He checked me and said my cervix was still closed but it looked like my body had had enough and I was going into preterm labour. We decided not to stop it but 12hrs later I hadn't progressed and the contractions stopped. Five days later it happened again but baby was getting distressed and I had a ridculous amount of protein in my urine so they did a csection.
