should i go to L&D?

I had a doc appointment earlier today. I'm 3cm dilated and 80% effaced. He tried inducing me 4 days ago when I was 1cm dilate and 30% effaced but my body rejected it. He said today if I go back before Monday and get to at least 3.5 cm he will induce and keep me. Well I have been having contractions all night getting worse. He prescribed me pain pills and I still can't sleep. My contractions are getting closer together. Some 3-5 min and some every 7 . But I don't want to go and get sent home. I tried walking a lot of appointment. Had sex this morning. So do you think I have dilated that last half centimeter? Or just not go in? I'm in so much pain I can't sleep but they will still send me home if I'm not dilated enough

If your contractions arent regular I wouldnt go til they become more regular. However, contractions are what help your cervix dilate, so you very well could be going in soon. But I would wait til the contractions arent so random.

If you aren't dilated enough unfortunately they will send you home.
Why not call your labor ward and see what they say? They may tell you not to come in until your contractions are totally consistent.
