Im from India and in our country due to the Hindu culture of having a boy is a blessing n a girl is a curse...we are not allowed to ask the doctor or technician the gender of the baby but I'm a aChristian N I dont mind about having a girl...I already had a girl of six n now Im pregnant wit my second baby n wants to know how do u get to know the gender of the baby...any different symptoms or signs?

Lilsea, it has to do with tradition, old stories from the vedas. India is a patriarchal society, as is the US, it's just expressed in different ways. Boys/men are better/ preferable to girls.. it can be the same here, for those with traditional/conservative views. Many people (Hindu or Christian) in India feel differently about the misogyny/rules there too (they want it to change), it's just a bit more prevalent in ways we're not used to. Also, India is huge and Northern India v. Southern India, as well as village v. large city are different worlds.. with different views and practices.

I think the poster would maybe be able to find a clinic who would tell the sex if in a larger city, or by going to a secular location.

Chinese chart was right for me as well! my belly is lying low, never had any morning sickness, just a good apetite, and im having a boy :) good luck to you all ladies!

I'm having a boy and had no morning sickness whereas when I was pregnant with my daughter I did

Apparently if you have really bad morning sickness its a boy. I had really bad nausea and I'm having a boy

With my son was right with this pregnancy was wrong the Chinese calender what was right was the baking soda test and my mother intuition she always right

My belly is really low too and I'm having a girl, I did crave a lot of sweets and fruits in the beginning, the Chinese prediction chart was right for me too, all of the predictors I played with were correct lol all from babycenter website

I'm having a boy and he always wants sugar. The only sign I know for sure is if your belly is high or low. High belly is girl, low belly is boy.

Try taking the Chinese gender prediction. It's not 100 % accurate but it was right for me. When I did it, it predicted that I'm having a girl & when I did my ultra sound it was surely a girl. I've heard a lot of women thats pregnant with girls crave a lot of sweets
