Well I live in Britain. And here it is a legal requirement that your employer gives you one day off in every seven, or two days off in every fourteen.

no its not illegal for him not to have days off he works at a movie theater he cleans the theater and they never have days off they always freakn open and its only him and 2 other people working so he cant just up and leave or he will get fired do trust i know cause i use to work there and i had really bad morning sickness when i was 5 months pregnant and couldn't work and i got fired and replaced the next day even though i finished the work and called in sick, not every
job gets days off no matter where you are and its peperfectly legal

My husband would probaly be working too but he will leave his job with or without permission. Your childs birth only happens once. Being that your already almost their that should be enough notice for his employer.

Not sure where.you live but.I'm pretty sure it's illegal not to allow employees any time off.
So if his mom got hit by a bus and was in the hospital and.was critical he would get fired for leaving to.visit.her? I find that highly doubtful.
What if something happened to your baby and he/she was sick? His employer would fire him for taking his baby to.the Dr instead of coming.to work? Hmm...
I'm sorry you have to.go through it alone, but I.think your boyfriend could be.there if he really wanted to

no they wouldn't let him off with him finishing his job for that day and they don't care if it is an emergency he doesn't get any days off and i mean none not Christmas, not thanksgiving none what so ever or he will be fired

Would his work let him off when you go into labor?  I've never heard of an employer that didn't do that

I will also most likely be alone when I go into labor my husband will have just started working for the prison near us and possibly won't be able to take any time off and my mother will be keeping my daughter since she lives in the town were I plan on birthing and I feel it would be weird to have his family in the room ...but I'm coming to terms with the fact that ill have my doctor and a bunch of I hope good nurses ...do you have anyone on his side of the family that would like to be there ???

I was alone when I had my twins.   My now ex wasn't there for the labour portion of my second baby either, but he made it 10 minutes before going into the OR.

You'll be okay,  you can do it alone. Xx
