Is it okay to highlight your hair while in the second trimester? I know with some people dye doesn't take, but would that be the same with bleach?

I'm a hairstylist, and there is nothing wrong with coloring your hair. The only problem you could run in to is your blondes not lifting right, turning too orange. Besides that I'm on baby 4 and colored my hair all the time all kids are healthy!

I'm not dying my hair, blonde highlights is not the same thing lol.

You can course your hair at any point. It does not effect the baby at all.

Yea I still wouldn't do it, nothing's ever confirmed properly.. If there was ever a doubt about something there must of been a reason.. I'm sure if you wanna dye your hair your going to everyone is different :) n no1 is there to judge x

Dyed mine the other night. I used a painting mask to help with the fumes. Mostly because it made me feel better. But I'm sure your good to dye.

My doctor said that throughout the years they have been doing studies on women dying their hair while pregnant and they found that it does not harm the baby whatsoever. That's why doctors are now giving the mother's the green light to go ahead and dye their hair. I have a paper on it. My mom was a cosmetologist for 20+ years also.

You shouldn't dye your hair with anything through pregnancy it will harm your babys lungs.. I won't even use semi perm on mine, haven't died it anytime in pregnancy.. Knowing this as my mothers a hairdresser.. Hair dye goes I your blood through your scalp n damages your lungs so just imagine what your doing to your unborn babys lungs x

Yup. Ive bleached and toned my hair throughout my whole pregnancy. I am 38 weeks.

Yes. Once in the second trimester your cleared. Only way would be if your OB said not too for what the reason may be. I bleach my hair & it comes out perfect. :) Don't forget though, every pregnant women is different. But I believe you'll have no problems.
