spicy food?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and started to notice that if i eat anything that is spicy, i end up having contractions. last week i was in L&D because i was having contractions 3 minutes apart... i just remembered that we had spicy Jumbalaya for dinner that night. i was put on bed rest that evening. now tonight we had spicy chili for dinner and the contractions are starting again but are not painful and are about 15 minutes apart. I know now to stay away from the spicy food!

Ha. No such luck for me. Did your contractions stop?

I've had my labor stopped twice already the first time was from dehydration and a uti.. the second time was the spicy food I'm assuming. that is why i am on bed rest until further notice.  now i just hope the contractions I'm having now go away! (: maybe i will send these contractions on to you!

I have no idea. I had a few contractions the other day from throwing up. Those are the only contractions i've had my whole pregnancy. No bh or anything.

I wonder if these same spicy foods will be something to remember as the very end of my pregnancy approaches? Do you know if the things that trigger your contractions earlier in pregnancy still trigger them at the end? Or would they change?

Good for you.. When it's time and you wanna have your baby all you gotta do is eat spicy foods. I'm 39w3d and a couple days ago I was practically chugging texas pete to no avail.
