thank  you soo much. i kno it was wrong, but like u said the fault lies with both of them. but i had no clue that it can still b rape if they were both minors. i just hope shes not pregnant and  nothing comes out of this situation but the lesson to not mess with older girls for him, and to learn how to be firm when rejecting with her. but how can we keep him away from us wen he corners us.

We cannot be naive to think 12 year olds do not have sex and experiment sexually.  Please do not attack me, as I have not stated my personal opinion in this case.  This is not the place for personal opinions and sharing mine does not help anyone.  Like I stated before, I teach in New York City and you MIGHT be shocked to find out what middle schoolers are doing.  Let me give you a little example:  A couple years ago I walked into the girls locker room and saw a line of boys-- 7th and 8th grade boys I might add.  At the front of the line was a young 7th grader giving a boy oral sex while the others were "waiting their turn."  This happens.  Please don't attack me, as I am simply trying to help.  I think it's great that your father has spoken to your brothers about sex and it's also great they you have a strong bond with them where they feel comfortable talking to you about it.  I commend you and your family.  Unfortunately, it is not always like this.  I was not saying you're too old (I'm old than you are and consider myself young and fabulous!) I'm just saying things are changing from when we were in middle and high school.  I am no longer at that middle school, but I am teaching high school and our dean recently caught two ninth graders having sexual intercourse in the stairwell.

some of us just make bad decisions if we criticized everyone for for what we think was morally wrong their wouldnt be anytime for all of us ttcs to actually concieve seriously yes its wrong but who r we to judge i mean how many of us have made mistakes, would you want someone sitting there telling you how wrong u were and how we have NO morals, some opinions need to be kept to the people who make them i have 10 siblings all younger than me most of them r teens and pre teens yes kids these days make bad decisions but havnt we?ive learned from my mistakes i think shes findig out the hard way.Sometimes its the only way to learn.so leave them alone help them with their question and let them be on their way.anyone with parent INVOLVEMENT should kno this......if you have nothing nice to say dont say it at all...

Truth?  Yes, the woman can get pregnant.  Sperm develops once puberty begins, which means that protection must be used.

However, I must agree with the others.  It is illegal to do such things, whether they both consented or not.  Additionally, I am 17 years old, and while I have experienced sexual acts, I have not had intercourse.  To say that all (or most, even--many of my friends lose it in the later years of high school) 12 year olds have started having sex is a bit of a overstatement.

If people are starting to have sex at that young an age, sex ed should teach wiser condom usage.  A pregnancy issue to happen that young is insane.

how am i acting like a hefer? do you even know what a hefer is??? probably not. it's a cow. so what b/c i'm pregnant i'm a cow? no i don't think so. no matter how much they sugar coat it...it's WRONG. obviously they don't have parents who are that active in their lives or have told them of the consequences of having unprotected sex so young. either way...she's wrong. he's wrong and if he does get mad at her he can get her into a TON of trouble. now i'm done talking to you since i'm sooo old and have no idea what kids do these days. (i do have 2 14 yr old brothers who come to me with their problems...and they're not having sex...our father had that discussion with them and told them what could happen...and not only having kids but all those lovely std's out there). oh and if she does get in trouble there could be chances she'd be arrested for child molestation. which means if she would go to jail...when she got out she'd have to register as a sex offender. good job at the age of 18.

I'm going to keep my morals out of this, but I must say that kids now do not act like kids did even 10 years ago.  They are maturing MUST faster with help from TV, the internet, media and music.  I live and teach in New York City and I see this everyday.  Teenagers do not look or act the way they are "supposed" to act and most of you might be shocked to find out what they are doing sexually.  Again, I am going to keep how I feel out of this, but I think we need to help her instead of ranting and raving about how innappropriate and immoral we think it is.  Assuming this is a legitimate post, she is worried and nervous for her friend and trying to get some help.  Many 12 year old have sex, and we need to educate them on how they can make the right decisions before we say how wrong it is.  If the young man ejaculated inside your friend's vagina, then yes, there is a possibility she can be pregnant.  I am not 100% clear on this, but I am fairly certain that in NY it is considered statutory rape if both parties are minors and have an age gap of more than 2 years between them, which in this case would be considered statutory rape.  It is then up to the parents of the younger party to press charges.  You'll want to look this information up or contact your local Planned Parenthood because I don't know what the laws are in PA.  Best of luck to your friend.
