kitten and pregnancy

I went out to take my trash earlier and when I did I heard meowing coming from a box. The box was left of by the trash and was taped shut. I opened the box and inside was a kitten that I'm sure is no more than 9 weeks. He had no collar and by the looks of it I'm sure his owner did not want him. I'm still gonna put up kitten found posters just in case. If nothing I'll keep him. As I've previously posted my husband will be home so he can clean the litter box since cat poo is bad during pregnancy. Is there anything else I should worry about. The kitten is well behaved and even litter trained! He's very playful with my son so I have no worries about that. Any advice or opinions would greatly be appreciated.

Be careful bathing young cats. Some times they will go into shock if they aren't used to their surroundings! I worked at a vet clinic for a year and it happened to my cat. We rescued her in a similar fashion. Someone dropped her off in a box at the vet clinic (before I worked there). But in any instance! Good luck! And God bless you for taking her in! Too many kittens go without homes and its sad :/

A tip on bathing, get him used to it this young so he won't give you trouble down the line. Also only use cat specific shampoo. Other shampoos or conditioners stick to their fur not rinsing off properly and when they lick to clean themselves they ingest it. And try to get a nail clipper made for kittens so he doesn't year your furniture to shreds and be careful to barely take the tip off, go further and you can hurt him. Clean his ears out with a cotton swab cause strays tend to have ear mites. Sorry lol worked for Petsmart.

Get his shots asap, don't put the liter box in a room that is small that you go in a lot. Be careful about it scratching you because you can get that disease that way too. And bathe the kitten.

Yeah make sure he's not sick and get him some shots as soon as he's old enough

Only thing I'd recommend would be to take it to the vet for a check up to make sure it has to diseases and it healthy.  And probably give it a bath at least once yo make sure its clean (:
