I read sleeping on your left side is best for baby.  I have high blood pressue and was reading about left side allows your organs not to cut off circulation to baby.

I fall asleep on my sides and always wake up on my back. It very hard not to sleep on your back occasionally.

I put up a post about this a few days ago, iv just gone 32 weeks and as much as I wanted to lay on my back a few days ago I can't do it now my feet, legs and hips start going a little numb and my baby starts moving even if she has been still for ages. It ***** >:/ laying on my side hurts like a mofo and rolling over pops my hips in and out of place. I feel like I just can't win

When you lie on your back, your uterus presses on the vein that returns blood from your lower body to your heart. Lying on your back for an extended period of time could interfere with the flow of blood and nutrients to the placenta and your developing baby. If your In your first trimester, It's totally fine to until your stomach and baby gets bigger. But I tend to find myself sleeping/waking up on my back. My doctor said It's usually fine as long as It's not an extended amount of time. She told me, If you feel shortness of breathe or feel uncomfortable at all to switch positions. Best position to sleep while pregnant Is your left side.

No it does not cause still births... But yes it can pull ur muscles etc.. I have heard of cutting of circulation but not sure.... However if ur body is comfortable you should be fine... I m 30wks n i sleep on back. .. Sometimes it hurts but sometimes i just love it... If i hve pillow under my legs or hips its much easier...
