My husband was begging me for months to name our daughter Jailyne & now that I started to finally like the name he tells me he doesn't like it because it reminds him of his "friend" this stupid girl who he has never met in person because she lives in Texas & we live in Cali. This girl is some what famous & now he told me he's been thinking about the name Kayla Marie. His ex's cousin is named Kayla Marie & she's also pregnant & due in November. My husband thinks I'm stupid & don't know that he wants to name our daughter after his ex's cousin who is also his "friend" who lives in Iowa. Ughhhh I swear I'm gonna punch him !!!! We already told our friends& family we're naming our daughter Jailyne & now he wants to change the name smh...We're gonna look stupid for changing the name after publicly announcing.

Same here ^ I told my bf if it was a girl I got to choose her name and he agreed to it. I rather choose my baby's name because u never know he might want to name the baby after a "certain person"

The way I see it is we are the ones growing the baby and going through all the physical and emotional changes. I will name my child what I want!! My husband had no choice but to learn to love our lil girls name.

People change names all the time so don't worry about looking stupid because you announced it. But hell no I wouldn't let my bf name our child after an ex's cousin. Or anyone I didn't like. Just simply tell him no it's your child too. You have to agree on a name together because the hospital won't put a name on the baby without your consent.

I would go nuts as well! Why name YOUR baby after his ex's cuz, or after some random chick at all?? Hell no, if you name a baby its supposed to be after a mother grand mother father grandfather or someone close like that. Not no dumb ex!! Name YOUR baby what you want to **** him (naming a baby after an ex's cuz or a random chick!)
