Ok so I'm a one on one aide with this 13 yr old boy I help him stay on track with his work & he is very hyper he does dumb stuff that a 5 yr old would do...he is on no meds & sees no1 & his parents doesn't see anything wrong with him bcuz he gets rewarded & does no work he is failing he doesn't even do homework ...wen the school calls home if he gets in trouble he gets talked to like a baby....this boy is very disrespectful & does stupid things to intentionally irritate me like talk disrespectful, purposely does no work gets zeros than begs for a break, bounces around & make stupid noises..wen i leave out he will ask to go to bathrm & come lookin for me...two teachers wont allow them in there rm without me so wen i need a break or go to bathrm beside my lunch i have take him with me etc...now that I'm preg I'm extra irritated & I know he is well aware of things he does we established that in his meeting the other day with his parents...it seems like I'm yelling & stressing more bcuz of this annoying brat & I really don't wan stress my son

@acline my bf knows how stressful it is he is already trying get another job...sometimes I actually cry..I'm trying stick it out bcuz I kno its a gd income for us & I will be off 3 months by time baby get here @ rosey yes these are 6 graders so even tho I'm here with him I still have deal with his classmates who love me but sum days they send me home with headaches bein in my face all day...they are taking a test now & he sitting here makin noises so I kept asking him to stop even the teacher he tells her I'm nuts so than she asked him did he wan me leave he says yes bcuz she distracting me... @AHP yes u are right the teachers call his parents & they seem to not discipline him so the teachers let them kno if he don't get it together he will fail...we jus had his iep meeting last wk & it seem to do nth for him or his parents...I'm jus really overwhelmed & trying to look into other jobs b4 I get bigger

I can only imagine how stressful that must be. Unfortunately, the only way any difference or improvement in his behavior can be made is if his parents wake up and understand their child needs two things: 1) for them, his parents, to get on board and recognize and address that his behavior is a problem, and 2) he needs to have a professional evaluation for ADHD and/or other behavioral disorders if he is that out of control. He may or may not need medication, but he does need boundaries set and discipline backed up by more than just his teachers and you. The parents play the most important role in this because they have all the authority to do something.
Can maybe every teacher he has who refuses him alone in their classroom and yourself call a group meeting with his parents? Sort of like and intervention, if you will. Maybe if they hear it from a handful of people all at once, they'll get the message.

Oh god. I bet, I worked with middle school kids through my senior year of high school, it can get really frustrating. I can't imagine having the preggo hormones on top of it lol.

I wouldn't leave while you're pregnant unless you have a good support system because it is so hard to find a job while pregnant.

Srry 4 the novel its jus really stressful & I'm actually thinking of leaving this job its to much to deal with him I actually start getting pains if I'm too stressed out :(
