Afraid to get my hopes up...

I've been having contractions all week and every time I reach the point where I'm ready to go in they stop. Today I started having contractions around 1 pm. For the last hour and half they have been coming every 4-7 mins and lasting about 1-2 mins. My pain scale is about a 5 or 6. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this could be it.

Yes, I've had a few of what I think are "signs" but I've kinda stopped getting my hopes up lol. I guess shell come when she's 100% ready. I lost my mucus plug, I have regular contractions at times but randomly stop or they don't get closer together. I don't even know if I am dilated yet.... I get checked Thursday.

I went in and was dilated to 3 so that was good news but the bad news is they sent me home again. :(

I've heard so many similar stories from other women. Yesterday I had on and off contractions all morning but new I had a dr appt so I decided to wait to have her check me. My dog died 20 mons before I had to leave so I was already emotional and then when I got there and was only 1 cm after 3 days of contractions I was sooooo discouraged. It was just a bad day all the way around. It was one of those embarrassing self pity days where I was absolutely certain the whole world was after me. Lol. I just don't want to go in and have them send me home again after such an emotional day yesterday. I'll keep everyone posted though. Keep your fingers crossed for me

I went from 0cms and no progression of my cervix to active full labor within 8 hours, so it can happen really quick! I hope this is it for you!

I had a dr appt yesterday and I was only dilated to 1 and last weekend I went to Ob absolutely certain it was the real deal and it wasn't so I'm jut afraid of being let down again. The hospital is literally 5 mins from my house and my next door neighbor is an ob nurse and home right now so I feel like I do have a little time to wait it out. I'm just so nervous. It's so funny...I'm about to welcome a new child into the world and all I can think is "shoot! I really should have done my laundry today!!"

Haha I agree with hoping43, it definitely sounds like labor to me! My doctor said if they get to 5mins apart get to a hospital because it's pretty close to deliver time, so I'd get going!

I'm not quite ready to say its labor yet but it's definitely progressing so I'm hoping. My due date is Christmas day and I just so badly want to have her before or after then.
