nursing newborn.. plz HELP!

So, I just gave birth on the 16th of january, my son will be 3 weeks on thursday. My question is how much should he be nursing and how often and how do I know if I'm giving him enough or if I'm giving him too much. Sometimes I feed him and he seems content for a couple hours and other times I feed him and he just wants more and more.. how can I get him on a routine that can assure me he's getting enough and not too much? For the past couple days I feel like all he wants to do is nurse I don't know if he wants my breast for comfort or if he's actually hungry and after EVERYTIME he eats he spits up a lot of the milk and I don't know whether or not to feed him again to make up for all that spit up or if he spit up because ot was too much for his little belly. Please any help!!!

Yup sounds like growth spurts. You know he is getting enough by weight gain and diapers.

I read that too. I also read that they go through a growth spurt at around 2 weeks. Maybe that's why he's been fussy and been nursing more..

He'll eat til hes full. They tend to go through a lot of growth spurts the first few months. With my first she nursed for 2 hours and 3 hours later she was hungry again. He's just trying to get ur body to produce more for him after his growth spurt.
