sorry about asking about this haha, its 2:25 am in Wales and the midwife wants my first pee of the day, well do i pee in the pot now at this time or do i wait until i wake up properly and then do the sample?, so confused.... thanks for help:)

Wake up and then take it. You don't wanna let urine sit too long (though it depends on what you're using it for... This is based on a pregnancy test) the hormones will start to break down.

its not for a pregnancy test as im 28 weeks already but they just want the pee sample to check for infections

First morning urine means after you have slept at least 4 hours. I know it's hard not to go with a baby sitting on your bladder. I say after you wake up is what she's looking for.

I'd also say morning urine after you wake. I'm from Wales too!
