prenatal coverage

Just wondering if my pregnancy medicaid would cover prescription prenatal vitamins?

They should, depending on what it is, and what it costs. If it's something extremely expensive, or contains things that they feel is unnecessary, they may not cover it. But generally speaking, they should cover what you are prescribed.

I've worked in a pharmacy for two years now, I've had the "fun" of billing insurances for prescriptions on a daily basis, and I myself also have the medical card for my pregnancy and have had prescriptions billed to medicaid which they've covered. They cover my heartburn medication. I'm sure you won't have any problems having things covered, but if you run into anything the pharmacy should be able to straighten things out.

It depends on the state since prenatal vitamins can be bought over the counter. If there is a reason for you to have to have the ones that are prescription strength then they might.
