so scared.

So I'm almost 28weeks n I'm still homeless. Its been like this for the last 3 months. Ive never in my life been homeless & am now homeless & pregnant. Ive gotten govt assistance and I'm looking for a place. But to find one in my price range seems almost impossible. My family has nothing to do with me b/c of my babies dad he relapsed on heroin and did some ****** up things. Ive always been taught you dont just turn your back on someone. Well thats what my family wanted me to do and since I didn't they now have nothing to do with me. I want my child to know his father,my father was my everything & I think its only fair his father gets the chance to do that. But I feel as if I'm going crazy id what to do any more. Ive been super depressed and having horrible thoughts ;-(

I live in california. When I went to sec 8 there was a sign saying the list was closed until further notice. I'm fortunate enough to have a couple friends that let me n my babies dad crash there. But sometimes I do sleep in my car. Its just so overwhelming my baby will be here soon I'm so scared of being homeless when hes born

Find a shelter or apply for section 8. They'll help you get back on your feet.

Can you apply for gov housings? I'm not sure where you live. But I'm in British Columbia, the government can help you out a lot here. Especially if you're pregnant.

Where are you sleeping? Can you stay at a women's shelter until you find a place to live?
