wanting induction.

I'm 35 weeks and in so much pain. Mt whole pregnancy has been really rough on my body. Can I get induced at 38 weeks? Plus, in order for my husband to get leave from work he has to give a week notice, and he works like over an hour away so if I went into labor and he had to come home it would take him forever plus there's the chance of snow and I live over an hour from my hospital... do you think it's possible? I'm really scared about going into labor on my own especially since I'm a stay at home mom w two toddlers. Any advice would help. Thanks a lot.

He's new there so they are asking him for notice. He just started a couple months ago. They have no issue giving him the week off but they wanted to know in advanced cause they need someone to fill him in.
