yep i agree with the other ladies an over the counter prenatal with folic acid..if it doesn't have enough i would suggest getting another folic acid to take in addition. also heat up all deli meat until its steaming, don't eat cold meat pates or chicken salad from a grocery store or anything with raw egg such as cookie dough that hasn't been cooked..avoid any cheese unpasteurized (brie, cambert, feta, etc...) limit your fish intake but still eat fish!! dont eat grouper, marlin, orange roughy, tilefish, swordfish, shark, or king mackerel. and make sure all of your meat is well cooked, not bloody.
other than that just eat healthy...LOTS of whole grains, meat, veggies, and fruit. :)

All you need is an over the counter prenatal vitamin that has atleast 1mg of folic acid in it

You should get prenatal vitamin, an over the counter one will do just fine!  You also want to get a lot of Folic acid in, you can take the vitamin or eat lots of dark veggies and leafy greens.  Peanut butter also has a decent amount of Folic acid in it.  Good luck to you!!
