And honestly, I'd rather take one less stress away from me (even if it's just buying formula if breastfeeding doesn't work out for me) so I can focus all of my energy into my kids, and not be a miserable grump..then it's worth it to me, I don't care what anyone thinks of me.
Thank you. I have all my paperwork ready to go however they never said anything about car paperwork. :-\ hopefully i will find out that same day. Yeah with my husbands unemployment our rent utilities and phone and cable take up almost double what we recieve in a month. Even taking away the luxury we still dont have enough income coming in. :-(
I know here in ca yes you can be approved the same day, only if you bring all needed documents. So I would take this list of items to your appointment,
ID, social security card, birth certificate, proof of income, proof of residence, current bank statement, and car registration.
That's what is needed here in ca and your proof of residence is your lease. If you are renting a room from someone have them write a letter saying so and how much you pay.
And i plan on souly breastfeeding so its good to know they will provide that if i am approved.
Thank u thank u thank u...,i have my inyerview for medicaid and food stamps on wed. And wic told me to come in afterwards with my paperwork stating i was approved and they would set me up. But with foods stamps and medicaid i thought it couldtake up to a month. Did anyone find out the day they had thr interview. Both me and my husband arw not working. He is laid off and only gets unemployment that is based in wis. Where we were originally from and now we live in alaska where everything is double the amount. :-(
Don't ever be ashamed to get wic! I did with all pregnancy and for my kids. I do know for wic the income limits are much higher then for food stamps. Also if you receive Medicaid your automatically qualified. Now for food stamps they do not count the baby as a person in the household till he/she is born. Well that's how it is here in California at least. They do it that way because you receive for the number of people living and your only seen as 1. Also here in ca they do give an extra $47 or so per month for the pregnant woman though. I wish you the best of luck!
