Boyfriend won't marry me or have kids

I am with my boyfriend for 9 years.  His decision is that he doesn't want to get married and he thinks having a kid might be problem because he doesn't like to live with me. He likes the relationship/single life. He loves me to death He is my soul mate and i don't know what my life without him. His friends are my friends, his family is my family, etc. We are true partners and best friends.  I don't know how to deal with this because it is a deal breaker for me. I waited for so long to hear that it may not happen.   I have health issues that i may not have kids anymore at the age of 40..  my time is ticking away.  It really does suck that a guy can wait longer then a women and men just don't understand how important for a women to be able to carry her own child.  I don't know what to do. Very hard to break up someone you know for 9 years. or they maybe a change? Should i wait? If i wait will i get dispointed at the end?

My boyfrend says he doesnt want to marry me because im to short (5ft) he says other wise i am perfect and if i was 5ft 8 or more he would marry me as he is 6ft 2" this also hurts alot because i cant change my height! :( whish u best of luck for ur future hun

If he was interested in marriage, he would have proposed by now. Seems he likes being single without all the traps and responsibility and committment marriage brings. If you want children, I am afraid you might want to look in another direction. He may change his mind if he knows he will lose you if he does not change his mind, buy Im highly doubting it. Sorry, ***** to be where you are.

there must be a reason that your boyfriend will not marry you, also maybe he just does not want to be a father, i have had children they are grown and i would sure hate to start a family at 40 when i was 40 my children were all grown, you have been together9 years without the benifit of marriage, and if he likes the single life he will be gone one of these days i would tell him marriage or else  luck  jo
