my boyfriend is going to school to me a macanic and really thinks, hes going to have a career in music. he plays some shows, and i hate to crush hes dreams but, i dont see it happening. and he says to me, being a mecanic is my back up job...  its so frustrating to keep listening to this garbage.  i want to be supportive but i dont know how..

I'm in a similar situation with my boyfriend. He has big hopes and dreams of becoming a professional wrestler, although I do support him in what he is doing however I don't forsee him becoming one. He knows he needs a good stable job so we can live on our own, but he still wants this wrestling thing so bad.
As far as you and your boyfriend, I have to agree that you aren't the right one for him. I don't always agree with what my boyfriend does, but I still support him in everything.

You're not the right girlfriend for him,  pickel.  You're not.  

You need a guy who has a plodding,  stable career and doesn't have big dreams of doing something else.    He needs a girlfriend who will go to his shows (or at least wish him good luck with a big kiss) and encourage him.  

You aren't it.  Save both of you trouble,  time and heartache and find someone who is better suited to your personality.
