So tired and stressed

Hi Everyone

Im just new here ill try keep it short, Me n my boyfriend got pregnant by accident (best thing in the world now love my baby more than life) but we have major problems and I want to break up.

He smokes cannabis and it makes him paranoid and quite crabbit we are arguing over everything at the moment this morning we spent the whole morning arguing and he got angry and cursed and shouted at me for saying I was hoping he would help with the night feeds as he slept all night and didn't help me once we live apart and he spends the night with us once a week and he just seems so uninterested in our child who is only 2 weeks old he puts him down as soon as he gets the chance he goes home when he could be getting the chance to stay over night with us and he is still smoking cannabis.

Iv also had to put up with his mom making comments like you keep friends with me or ill get the baby took off you and im a fantatic full time mother the health visitors are so please with my sons progress and comments like hes more my sons than yours and my boyfriend doesn't stick up for me and NEVER helps or trys to bond with my baby im so stressed this should be a happy time but they are ruining it.

What do I do? hes not a bad person I think hes a lazy stupid person but not bad so I don't want to be cruel but I have to think of me and my child that is not a healthy environment. I will still let him see his son if he wishes supervised as I want them to have a relationship but I don't want one with him and I feel bullied.

Thanks

Okay, well that is good that you do not depend on him in any way.  So, there is nothing holding you back from ending the relationship.  He'll be your child's father forever though and you should allow him SOBER access to your baby.  Document his drug use so that if necessary, you can demand that via the court.

Oh, and don't forget school for yourself so that you can take over care for yourself from your parents at some point.  good luck

Hi there and welcome. Well, if he is lazy and stupid and smoking pot all the time, I agree with you.  Time to end this.  You can do much better.  How do you support yourself?
