RN retired

Just had a Chest x-ray;results were Reticulonodular density adjacent to left heart border .   Had exposure to Miliary tbc years ago
with a new primary in my lung as a result of that
exposure.  Also, received the BCG vaccine and
had a prior  Primary lesion from that.  I was a student nurse at the time.
Does this diagnosis mean anything ? At times, with walking, become short of breath with pressure
feeling in upper middle chest.

Hi, tuberculous can remain dormant for years and resurface when the immunity goes down. The density could be due to tuberculosis. This is correlated with clinical symptoms , like cough, evening rise of temperature, weight loss and blood tests, which will show a raised ESR and increased lymphocyte count, if it is an active infection. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Take care.
