Thank you for your comment,
All this has started from an Exposure to H2S gas exposure of more than 300-700 ppm. It started with headache, to Bronchitis and to now, couching that keeps me from proper sleep. I take BUPAP 650-50 MG for the pounding but not the entire headache. I have had X-rays, Ct scans and a lung function test. I have passed out a couple of times and I have tried to find a trigger (none) and it come on anytime with no warning. Because this is a Workmen comp injury I haven't had a Pulmonary Specialist. I have a wonderful rehab nurse that I see three times a week has noted my coughing that have been so bad I about feel  equipment. I ask her about it she just said to go slow and take your time.. She can't say anything about but when I asked the director of rehab Dr Gonzolas he said you need a Pulmonary specialist. They are treating this as COPD because they have no treatment or diagnoses for H2S because they don't survive exposure. I should and am greatful I have cheated death.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Cough, chest tightness and breathlessness the three symptoms mentioned by you are the triad of symptoms for Asthma. It is a disease affecting the lungs causing narrowing of the airways, usually due to an allergic reaction to triggering factors. Therapy is with bronchodilators which cause the airways to dilate. Your symptoms could also be due to COPD or Bronchiectasis. The other causes could be due to Bronchitis or Cystic fibrosis. You will need to discuss these options with your doctor who may need to do a sputum culture and sensitivity to determine what antibiotic the organism is susceptible to.  He may even ask for a blood test and an X ray. Lung function tests could further help in evaluation. In the meantime take OTC acetaminophen, try to take warm oral fluids and do steam inhalations prior to your meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
