Anal sex with pre-op transsexual
Dear doctors, please give me your views and advice on my risks of contracting STIs, especially HIV, here:
I am a heterosexual Chinese male, 26. A week ago, I had sex with a pre-op Thai transsexual sex worker. We gave each other protected oral sex and unprotected oral-anal sex before I proceeded to do protected insertive anal sex on him. Before the anal sex, I changed to a new condom. Although I do not remember if he did put lube or not, the anal sex felt smooth enough. After the encounter, I checked the condom I just ejaculated in and it appeared intact. I also asked him if he had gone for any checkups recently and he said he had and the doctor told him that he is clean so far.
Please let me know what are your opinions about this. I am quite worried as I read that Thai transsexual sex workers have high rates of HIV. Thank you.

Your STD risk was very low, I would not be overally concerned. HPV, syphilis and herpes would be possible but low risk.
