Hi Doctor, recently on 31st Jan 2015  i kissed a CSW in India for 10 mins. After the kiss, she told me that she is a CSW from past 15 years, i got freaked out. Once i got home, i saw a minute amount of blood coming from frontal lower gum (i got scared to death). Next morning i woke up with a sore throat (less painful but more like a needle in my throat). it stayed for 5 days so i went to a ENT, i took medicines for 5 days but it did not improve, so on 10th feb i went again to the ENT and he gave me different medicines...i took that for 5 days again and started to feel a little better on 16th of Feb, however it was not healed completely. Now its 22nd Feb and i still have slight discomfort in my throat (it gets dry..i cough at times and discharge very small qty of mucus once or twice a day). Today i also started feeling pains at the right side of the body, near the kidneys. I am scared to death. Please help me doctor. Discomfort in my throat for 22 days- is it normal? i have never had something like this before in my life. Please help me understand if i have caught any STD (hiv/hepatites or others?)??

Vance, its been 30 days now and my sore throat still persists. i had a sore throat on day 1 after exposure, it got better with medicines by day 15, again from day 17- i started to have a sore throat. can the second sore throat be related to ARS? Please Vance reply, am scared to death. Can prolonged sore throat be symtom of ARS- i have no other symptoms, except a few bumps/boils on my shoulder back and chest?

if she is a sex worker since 15 years? wont she be already infected with something?
Please help, i am not being able to concentrate on anything thinking about it- especially bcoz of the mild sore throat since then

Thanks Tbone and Vance, its been 27 days now and i still have a mild sore throat, is it not unusual to have a mild sore throat since 27 days that started just 12 hours after the kiss?
Can it be possible that my immune system has been affected due to something which is not letting me recover 100% from sore throat?
What can it be- sore throat 12 hoirs after kiss??

You had no risk from kissing
