Hello community. Thanks for this forum.
This is my story:
On February 2, I was exposed to unprotected oral sex. I am a man, 26 years old.
A woman from a massage parlor gave me unprotected fellatio for 40 seconds, when I realized it I told her to stop. I immediately left the place very terrified of contracting chlamydia.
14 days later, that is, on February 16, I visited my urologist. He told me that the potential risk was gonorrhea, so I took a urine test for gonorrhea, which came back negative. I calmed down for a few days and resumed unprotected sex with my girlfriend. However, on February 25, I started a course of 3 doses of 500 mg of an antibiotic called DICOXACILLIN (DYNAPEN) for a wound on my skin.
Now my fears have returned because my girlfriend has burning pain when urinating and a headache. My fear has led me to believe that I was infected with chlamydia and gave it to my girlfriend. Since March 5th, I have had several negative chlamydia tests, but I have a big question.
Could DICLOXACILLIN (DYNAPEN) have cured my chlamydia?
I had chlamydia, I passed it on to my girlfriend and now because of the DICLOXACILLIN the test came out negative?
If my girlfriend is infected, can she in a hypothetical case infect me again?
