Chlymadia Symptom After Treatment

I went in for a routine std test three weeks ago and chlymadia was found rectally, but not in my urine or blood test.  I had no symptoms and was prescribed the standard arithromycin antibiotic.  I week went by and I noticed that there was a discomfort around my right testicle that feels like an annoying slight numb feeling.   No pain or any discharge.  I went to my doctor and he prescribed 1 dosage of z pack.  Is it normal that a symptom can occur after I taking the antibiotic?   My doctor said he was convicted confused why the health clinic gave me arithromycin to cure chlymadia, but isn't z pack the same thing? Also, since I tested for Clymadia rectally,  is it weird that I am feeling symptoms in my testicle?
