It isn't possible to answer as it is highly uncertain this is HSV1/2. It must be tested using PCR or culture. A microscope is no good. I would not trust the diagnosis at this time.
A biopsy is not accurate and struggles to tell the difference between HSV and Zoster let alone type. Did your result say something like HSV1, HSV2, Zoster?
Obtain the full test results for the biopsy.
Have you had HSV antibody blood testing?
I'd focus on the diagnosis a little more.
A biopsy cannot distinguish between HSV1 and HSV2 or even Zoster for that matter! You need to learn more about the diagnosis and what was the exact test performed on your biopsy (I assume some tissue was removed?)
Why did you need to have the endoscopy?
What blood tests have you had for HSV1/2?
