Condoms don't offer 100% protection against HPV, but do offer significant protection, making it highly unlikely that you would contract it.
If you do get it, it's definitely possible - and likely - that you'd transmit it to your wife. There are certain strains that are more likely to cause cervical cancer than others, though.
Remember though - you used a condom, which offers a lot of protection. If you are in a country that offers the HPV vaccine, you should get it if you are going to continue having sex with women who aren't your wife.
