HSV-2 and Eczema and Bodily Fluids

Trying times for me and my partner.  We met some weeks and weeks ago.  I think she's great.

First year of her outbreak, she has HSV-2.  I don't.  I am a male with no history of STDs.  Stressful week for her, she had little sleep.  No apparent current outbreak.  I used a sex toy on her vagina, she ejaculates (she squirts constantly).  Then she gave me a hand job.  I ejacutalted.

I am concerned, with all the body fluid going around and about, on the bed, on our hands.  And I myself have had eczema on my fingertips for the last year (currently, a small crack on one finger).  I am now worried I am infected with HSV-2.  Just in my mind, no symptoms currently.

I really like this girl.  I just have no experience being with someone who you can't have actual sex with.  Just trying to take things slow in the beginning. But I am scared now.

I went and talked to a nurse.  She said my risk was extremely low but that I was exposed.  She told me to wait 4 to 6 weeks before getting a blood draw.  Still, she thinks I am fine.  I am not going to engage in anymore stuff like this in the future, though.  This whole this has opened my eyes.

Thank you for responding.

Dave, you know what might be a good idea? Get tested to confirm your status. Half the population is hsv1 positive and contracted it from childhood. This is oral hsv1. If you have it, it would reduce your risk as you have antibodies. Its not a sure thing to prevent acquiring it but is of help.

Those who have a loved ones with this can have a full life together. As with any infliction, care is needed. Maybe have a talk with your family doctor about this in detail.

The emotional toll is astounding.  The physical consequences.  I want my working parts to be free of any of this.  I am already having trouble sleeping worrying about her and myself and what could have been.  I feel as if I touch her down there I will get the infection.

Hi, if you did not have sexual contact with her then the fluids would not pose a threat for herpes. You need direct skin to skin contact to be at risk.
