Yes, they are effective against all those things, I completely agree, but again, effective doesn't translate into 100% protection. Again, there are other things that take place leading up to, during, and after sex that can make someone vulnerable to contracting something. Condom use is the best protection if a person chooses to have sex, but it's no substitute for being selective with partners and monogamy.
Does that make me sounds like a sex ed teacher or something???? :)
Condoms when use properly are effective against gonorrhea, chlamydia and HIV. Skin to skin transmission can happen with the use of a condom for herpes, HPV and syphilis, but the risk is lower.
Well, you know it's not Gono, so you're clear there. There really isn't anything left for you to do except complete your meds and follow up with your doctor. Like I said before, I guess the only thing you can take away from this is that condom use doesn't mean 100% safe, so use your head when picking partners.
This is not a STD related issue.
Just to say there is
No secretions or fecal matter on your penis
Hi ,
Thanks for reply . I had no touch with anus at all as I used when I did the sex. I get the result today for Gonorrhea and Chalmydia and it was normal. Does there any other test I should do. I found from the websites that this symptoms doesn't belong to HIV.
Help appreciated
You should go get tested. Even though you used a condom it doesn't mean you're 100% safe. Anal sex in particular can cause issues if you got some e-coli in your urethra. You used a condom, but was there any times when your bare penis touched the anus or when you removed the condom, did you get any secretions or fecal matter on your penis? We just don't know enough to tell you how you could have gotten anything, but you should go an get tested.. Tell your doctor what happened and they will know what to test for. They will test for the usual stuff (gono, chlamydia, siphillis, herpes, etc.), but they may also want to culture your urine or a urethral swab to look for other bacteria. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
